World Sailing Offshore Safety Course

The World Sailing Offshore Safety course is aimed at sailors, especially racing sailors. The course teaches how to cope with and prevent emergencies at sea. The course meets World Sailing's Offshore Special Regulations requirements.

The course consists of both theory lessons and practical exercises. Participants will learn about safety equipment, storm surges, damage repair, crew routines, drowning prevention and rescue, firefighting, emergency reporting and search and rescue. Practical exercises include the use of life jackets and life rafts, firefighting, and man overboard situations.

The aim of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate safely on the high seas. We organise courses on request for groups as well as courses for individuals.
