Hot Work Course

The aim of the firefighting course is to awaken firefighters to prevent firefighting accidents from happening in the first place. The course teaches the key governing legislation and guidance and the responsibilities of the different parties involved. After the course, the participants will understand the importance of fire planning and fire permits and will be able to work safely. The course is administered by the Finnish Rescue Association (SPEK).

The training will cover the following topics:

  • Fire work safely
  • Responsibilities and obligations
  • Fire risks in different environments
  • Security measures in different environments and a security drill
  • What to do in the event of an accident
  • Initial fire drill
  • Examination, questions and end of course

The firefighting course is a working day (8 hours) and includes six lessons of theory, protection and initial extinguishing exercises and an exam. For those who pass the course, the SPEK issues a firefighting card, which is valid for five years from the date of completion (source: SPEK).

We organise courses on request for groups as well as courses for individuals. The maximum group size is 30 people.

150 € / person (incl. VAT). Price includes materials, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon coffee. For an additional fee there is the possibility of accommodation in a hotel in Lohja.
